Flight Center Travel Group (FCTG) has announced plans to launch its FCM travel management business in Japan through a joint venture with Tokyo-based NSF Engagement Corporation.

FCTG Managing Director and Managing Director Graham “Skroo” Turner said Japan was an important addition to FCM’s global network, which now spanned 97 countries through company-owned businesses and agreements. license with independent local operators.

“Japan is a key market for business due to its size and importance in the global economy as a hub for multinational enterprises,” he said.

“By securing an equity stake in this crucial market, we will improve our ability to gain new local, regional and multinational accounts, while gaining greater control and improving the service we provide to our existing clients operating in Japan.

“We believe this will become a very important company and a valuable addition to our Asian network, which also includes companies in China, including Hong Kong SAR, India, Singapore and Malaysia.”

FCM Asia Managing Director Bertrand Saillet said FCTG’s investment in Japan at the start of the post-COVID recovery phase underscored the newly renamed the future importance of the business to the business.

Saillet said the full range of FCM products and services will be introduced in Japan in the coming months. This includes FCM’s proprietary FCM platform, which debuted in China last month.
